Portland Avenue Nursery was first established in 1941. We have grown from propagating and selling only junipers and mugo pines into a full-scale four acre nursery. Plants are our specialty – it’s our passion. Single or grouped, prickly or soft, twisted or weeping, red, blue, short, tall, fat or narrow – we love them all and are proud to offer top-notch quality and selection. Our specialties include unique and unusual Japanese maples and conifers. We offer a huge variety of shade, flowering and fruit trees, including specimen-sized trees, topiary, shrubs, perennials and seasonal annuals. Cedar furniture, containers of all types and yard art whimsy compliment your landscaping dreams. Under the same ownership and management for over 25 years, first time visitors will chuckle at the antique trucks "planted" in the front display garden.
